چکیده

Background: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a common medical disorder detected during pregnancy with adverse consequences on the health of mother and fetus. Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) an important parameter glycemic control in patients diabetes mellitus. However, it only reflects long-term status, but can’t reflect short term control. It has also been demonstrated that HbA1c does not accurately because iron deficiency. But Albumin (GA) average blood glucose within 2-3 weeks influenced by Therefore, glycosylated albumin may be used to measure recent changes level GDM patients. The aim study evaluate association status GDM.
Materials methods: This case was carried out Department Obstetrics & Gynecology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, BSMMU, Dhaka between August 2017 December 2018. Atotal 140 pregnant women 18-35 years age attending outdoor antenatal clinic their second third trimester were enrolled this study. Among them 70 diagnosed considered as group I rest non-diabetic II. Plasma measured all these Statistical analysis results obtained using Windows based computer software devised Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS-22).
Results: mean 17.12±2.00 (%) 12.90±1.03 difference statistically significant (p<0.05) two groups. There positive moderate correlation (r=0.643, p=0.001) 2 hours after 75 gm weak (r=0.258, p=0.031) GA FBS patients.
 Conclusion: A found maternal levels. Therefore,glycosylated applied JCMCTA 2021 ; 32 (2) : 64-69

Glycosylated haemoglobin for screening and diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus.

OBJECTIVES The oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is a cumbersome test that is time consuming, labour intensive and often poorly tolerated by pregnant women. To date, glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) is the most accepted measure of chronic glycaemia outside of pregnancy. HbA1c is an uncomplicated test, less time consuming, does not require any specific patient preparation and is considered stra...
